As many kids are heading back to the classroom, the latest class at WBU University just graduated. The August class was one of the largest in recent years, with 25 attendees representing 14 stores. A variety of franchise store owners attended; six new, seven existing and one transfer stores. This variety in a class is a real asset to attendees, giving them a wealth of knowledge and perspective on being a small business owner.
“I attended WBU University with my new general manager,” shared Ben Roush, owner of the Wild Birds Unlimited store in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. “Even though I had put him through my own extensive training I wanted to make sure that he understood all the best practices for running our store efficiently and effectively. We both learned so much during our week of training. A great experience.”
From the franchisor perspective, it is gratifying to see new, existing and transfer stores owners engaging each other and appreciating the value each individual brings to the class.
